Worship is Healing
Bible Text: Isaiah 54:1-8 | Preacher: Pastor Steve | Series: Mighty in His Power
There is a way to RESTORE the lines of communication and REFRESH our personal connection with our God:
Worship the Lord Jesus.
Worship is the human SOUL, MIND and BODY humbling, bowing down before the Lord God in honor, respect and adoration as a deliberate, intentional action that focuses all our attention on Him ALONE.
Luke 4:5-8 Then the Devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. The Devil told him, I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them — because they are mine to give to anyone I please. I will give it all to you if you will bow down and worship me. Jesus replied, The Scriptures say, you must worship the Lord your God; serve only him.
We have a responsibility to respect HIM and commit to love HIM through worship.
Psalm 95:6-7 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the sheep under his care.
Worship is Healing.
Jeremiah 8:21-22 I weep for the hurt of my people. I am stunned and silent, mute with grief. Is there no medicine in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why is there no healing for the wounds of my people?
In God’s Presence
We are made whole—restored, renewed, released.
Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Isaiah 54:1-8 Sing, O childless woman! Break forth into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, even though you never gave birth to a child. For the woman who could bear no children now has more than all the other women, says the LORD. Enlarge your house; build an addition; spread out your home! For you will soon be bursting at the seams…
Isaiah 54:1-8 …Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. The shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood will be remembered no more, for your Creator will be your husband. The LORD Almighty is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth…but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you, says the LORD, your Redeemer.
Psalm 77:1-6 I cried out to God with my voice– To God with my voice; and He gave ear to me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord…
Psalm 30:12-11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
Psalm 57:8-11 Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations. For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens;
