Vision 2016

Pastor:
Service Type:

Preacher: Pastor Steve | Series: Mighty in His Power
…continue to  PERSEVERE and ATTACK the darkness…
Luke 11:9-10 And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened.  For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.
We Are At War
Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Our Weapons
2 Corinthians 10:3‑5 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
ATTACKING the Darkness
Philippians 3: 10-12 Now I have given up everything else-I have found it to be the only way to really know Christ and to experience the mighty power that brought him back to life again, and to find out what it means to suffer and to die with him.  So, whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead. I don’t mean to say I am perfect. I haven’t learned all I should even yet, but I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ save me for and wants me to be.
Leadership
INTENTIONAL (responsive) leadership rather than ACCIDENTAL (reactive) passive and defensive leadership.
We need sacrificial stewardship, commitment and unity as a church working as a team.
Power From On High
You will never move an enemy out from his fortified position apart from the impact of a force that is more powerful.
Our Power Source Is The “Resurrected Lord”
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Luke 24:49 And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.
Team Strategy
Nehemiah 4:13-14 Therefore I positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
Teach and Train the Fundamentals
Colossians 3:9-10 You have put off the old self with its habits and have put on the new self which God is continually renewing in his own image to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.
We will FAIL and FALL INTO SIN because we ignore the fundamentals.
Evangelism: Commitment and Recommitments
Matthew 5:13‑16 Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all…
John 4:5‑14  …But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…
Maturity: Teaching and Training in Worship and Word
Isaiah 61:1‑7 …He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
Ephesians 4:11‑17 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Community: Building Up and Reaching Out
1 Corinthians 3:8-11 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
We are a Christ centered (family) church, glorifying (worship) God in all we do, committed to (equipping) building up believers towards personal maturity by communicating the truths (word) of Jesus Christ through active (ministry) participation.  We are committed to reaching out into our community (local evangelism) and to partner with others in reaching the nations (world-evangelism) with the redemptive life of Christ.
Practically we are going to put a strong emphasis on small group and class development.
We will have several different types of groups:

The Future of our Church Facilities
Our overall concern (boundary) is to NOT to put ourselves into a financial pressure cooker or stress that would hinder our ministry.
The Dome is still an option. We are still praying and researching this direction. We have raised $120,000!
We are investigating possible land purchases to buy and build:
Buy land and then
Sell our building – using the equity to
Build a new facility and then move…
