Reviewing Our Engagements:
Engage Against The Strategies Of The Devil By Putting On The Armor Of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Engage Against Evil By Not Giving Place To Evil
(Ephesians 4:27)
Engage Against The Spirit Of Error By Knowing The Spirit Of Truth (1 John 4:4-6)
Acts 3:19-20 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord… NKJV
Acts 3:19-20 So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord… AMP
Transformational Living
Re-engage, change, heal, and be transformed
Paradigm Shift
FROM self-sufficiency TO Interdependency on/with the Lord
Repentance
Repent or turn from our sins; to turn away from a former way of life that opposed God and turn toward a new way of living that embraces and commits to the Lord (U-turn)
Our sins are blotted out, cleansed, erased, wiped away, the stain is removed as if it was never there!
Conviction:
accepting our responsibility and the consequences for what we have done. To accept our culpability
John 16:8–9 And when He (the Holy Spirit) has come, He will convict the world of sin, … because they do not believe in Me.
Sorrow:
describes both physical and emotional pain.
2 Corinthians 7:2-12 …For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Conversion:
the ultimate test of true repentance is whether or not we really change on the inside.
2 Corinthians 5:17 If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.
Repentance is Moral Revolution: changing one’s moral, ethical and personal direction by turning away from evil.
When we choose to change (repent) we therefore:
Trust in Him
Believe in Him
Receive Him
Adopt His mission and ministry into our life
Refreshing
…so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord
Recovery of our breath; receiving the breath of God
