This is the imagery of sheep in comparison to us:

Our confidence is based on the character of the Shepherd

I shall not want
The Shepherd leads us to the green pastures
He makes me to lie down…
He causes us to lie down like the laying down of stones…

Living Water is flowing water that is different from Dead Water that is cisterns; stagnate water
John 4:10-15
Jeremiah 2:13 For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns — broken cisterns that can hold no water.
He restores my soul
Restoration of the human soul speaks to the recovery of the human personality – the intellect, emotions, and spirit
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
He leads me in the paths of righteousness.  For His name’s sake…Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil
Matthew 5:45-46 …for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
We will face evil, but we need not fear evil
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The Lord is ALWAYS with us!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies:
1 Corinthians15:26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For He has put all things under His feet
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over:
…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
Goodness + Mercy (chesed ) the unfailing, steadfast covenant love of God (God’s Grace) 
AND I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever!
