The Fullness of God

Pastor:
Passage: Ephesians 3:14-19
Service Type:

Bible Text: Ephesians 3:14-19 | Pastor: Pastor Steve | Series: Ephesians: Engaging the Power of God’s Amazing Grace

Ephesians 3:14-19 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
The Goal
…be filled with all the fullness of God
How?

pray to God
bow before God

Why?

So that Christ might dwell in your hearts
So that you might be rooted and grounded in love

So that you can know the love of Christ.

So that at the end, we are a mature, complete

person, filled with the fullness of Christ
God’s Word Teaches Us That Believers May Be Strengthened And Understand Christ’s Love Through God’s Grace
The Fullness Of Christ:

inexhaustible resources of God’s grace
maturity that is attained by full participation
full realization of our purpose and destiny

Events Versus Issues

Old Faithful has an event every 35 to 120 minutes
God’s Word Is Focused On Our CORE
The CORE is understanding and connecting with the love of God in our hearts!

In physical terms the core is where our strength is; in spiritual terms the core is where our strength is… understanding the love of Christ!

…that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened

We can’t make people fall in love with Jesus

It is only by the Grace of God
We Have GOD’S GRACE And As Believers We Know That:

God is on our side, ready to help us meet each and every challenge
God’s power is never stagnant or out of service — it is always active
God is always fighting against the forces of evil on our behalf

That Christ may dwell (habitant, house permanently) in our hearts (in our thoughts and feelings) through faith (trust, hope, love, confidence, assurance)
