Pastor:
Service Type:

Preacher: Pastor Steve | Series: Transformed Living
#1. IF we TRUST in the Lord as our SOURCE and SUPPLIER, THEN we will experience His peace and blessings
Romans 11:36 For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory…
Deuteronomy 8:18-19 Remember the Lord  your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful…
#2. IF we keep GOOD RECORDS, we will THEN receive blessings from the Lord
Proverbs 27:23-24 23 Know the state of your flocks, and put your heart into caring for your herds, 24 for riches don’t last forever, and the crown might not be passed to the next generation.
KNOW what you OWE
KNOW what you EARN
KNOW what you OWN
KNOW where is it all GOING

#3. IF we GIVE TO HIM our first, THEN HE will fill our barns
Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the Lord  with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
Deuteronomy 14:23 You must set aside a tithe of your crops one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship the place the Lord  your God chooses for his name to be honored and eat it there in his presence…
Our tithing gives evidence of:
Our FAITH in the Lord
Our THANKFULNESS to the Lord
Our TRUST in the Lord
Our COMMITMENT and LOYALTY to the Lord
#4. IF we SAVE and INVEST for the future, THEN we will have wealth
Proverbs 21:20 The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
Savings stats:
Japanese save 25% of their income
Europeans save 18% of their income
Americans spent 1% MORE THAN their income
Why do we get into financial trouble (top 5 reasons):
Medical Expenses
Sudden Job Loss
Lack of Discipline with Credit – too much debt
Divorce and Separation
Unexpected Disasters: earthquake, floods, fire, etc.
BIG Question: Do we really need this or could we save this money?
Proverbs 13:11 Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.
Proverbs 24:27 Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house.
#5. IF we want to get out of DEBT, THEN we need to set up a REPAYMENT PLAN
Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.
Romans 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.
U.S. household consumer debt profile for 2015:
Average credit card debt: $15,706
Average mortgage debt: $156,333
Average student loan debt: $32,953
#6. IF we BUDGET our spending, THEN we will CONTROL our spending
Proverbs 21:5  Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
Proverbs 21:20 The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
#7. IF we ENJOY what we have, THEN we will not LUST after what others have!
1 Timothy 6:6-8 Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
Ecclesiastes 6:9  Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless like chasing the wind.
Hebrews 13:5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.
Matthew 6:31-33 So don’t worry about these things, saying, what will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
