To form our identity
To reveal Himself
The family is the single most powerful institution on planet Earth
Family affects EVERYTHING!
Our financial decisions: How we spend, save or go into debt
Our confidence, self worth: Do I matter?
Our walk or lack of walk with God: Can I trust Him? Should I trust Him?
Our relationship with others: How we interact with the world around us
WHY does the enemy hate marriage and family so much?
BECAUSE HE CAN NEVER HAVE ONE!!!
You were created in the image of God and he wasn’t
The picture of family God intended is CLEARLY BROKEN
How do we fix it?
Psalm 68:6 God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But for rebels, there is only famine and distress.
Your family’s biggest problem is NOT always…
Your spouse!!!!
Your family of origin
The environment you live in
YOUR FAMILY’S BIGGEST PROBLEM IS…

How to heal a broken you
1. Act like God
Ephesians 5:1-2​ ​Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. ​Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
 
2. Live wisely
Ephesians 5:15 ​So be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise
 
3. Measure twice, cut once
Ephesians 5:17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do.
